Arrivée

Bus de nuit Buenos Aires – Puerto Iguazu, ~18h avec le format argentin entre bus cama, semi-cama (que j’ai pris). Au final, certes des fauteuils plus larges, un petit goûter et un dîner froid servi à bord mais l’addition est conséquente (~500 ARS ~ 105 Eur) sans avoir le choix du moindre luxe comme en Asie.

Visite

Il n’y a qu’une chose à retenir de Puerto Iguazu, les chutes du même nom … Bon, a priori, d’autres attractions se développent autour mais j’avoue ne pas avoir trop regardé.

Côté argentin, beaucoup de sentiers dispo et une superbe vue rapprochée:

  • Garganta del Diablo (la gorge du diable),

  • Circuito superior (vue de dessus)
  • Circuito inferior et Isla San Martin (vue de face),

  • Sendero Macuco.

Côté brésilien, vue plus panoramique (et la possibilité de faire une balade en hélico … à un prix défiant toute concurrence bien sûr …) mais j’ai trouvé un peu trop cher (quasiment autant que côté argentin alors qu’en dehors activités annexes, on y passe grand max 1/2 journée contre 2 de l’autre côté).

Arrival

Night bus Buenos Aires – Puerto Iguazu during about 18h. Argentinan bus most of the time only provide choices between « cama » and « semicama » bus (what I took). It is much more comfortable than most other world bus and with food onboard (cold or hot if cama) but with a consistent price (~500 ARS ~ 105 Eur) and no choice for less luxe as in Asia.

Visit

The main attraction of Puerto Iguazu are the falls. It seems other attractions are developping around but I didn’t really take a look.

On argentinan side, a lot of trail are available and there is a beautiful nearby view:

  • Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat),
  • Circuito superior (view from above)
  • Circuito inferior et Isla San Martin (view from front),
  • Sendero Macuco.

On brazilian side, more panoramic view (and possibility to take a helicopter ride but expensive …) but I found it a bit too expensive (almost as much as Argentina where there is at most about half day of activities vs about 2 days in Argentina).
