Arrivée

Premier bus de nuit au Chili et retour au format semi-cama si commun en Argentine. Départ 21h15, arrivée 7h30 au Terminal San Borja (Metro central).

Visite

Tourisme et logistique. Renouvellement de passeport lancé à l’ambassade de France (délai annoncé 2-3 semaines, même avec l’arrivée des vacances françaises), rattrapage de blog/photos et autres.

  • Av Providencia, Iglesias,

  • Cerro San Cristobal: Funiculaire et marche (le lendemain d’un jour de pluie … idéal car a « lavé » la pollution),

  • Feria Los Dominicos,

  • Tour du centre: marché central, Estacion Mapocho, Plaza de Armas, bibliotheca nacional, Cerro Santa Lucia, …

  • La Chascona, 3e maison de Pablo Neruda, un grand poète chilien (et donc, j’aurais raté la 1ere, celle d’Isla Negra) (malheureusement, pas de photos à l’intérieur),

  • Marché aux puces de Franklin (et bidouilleur en tout genre: j’ai pu enfin débloquer mon téléphone acheté en argentine … 2000 pesos ~ 3€),
  • trekking Saltos de Apoquindo(avec un superbe temps; juste à côté de Santiago mais un peu difficile à trouver si on ne connaît pas),

  • Célébration du nouvel an Mapuche, près d’Av Florida (metro Macul),

  • La Vega vegetables market.

Arrival

First night bus in Chile: a semi-cama so common of Argentina. Left Valdivia at 9.15pm, arrived at Santiago 7.30am at Terminal San Borja (Estacion central metro).

Visit

Discovery of the city, a lot of cooking 😉 and a lot of logistic 😦 … change of passport (mine is full, delay at french embassy 2-3 weeks even with french vacation time coming), catch up on photos sorting and blog and a few other things.

  • Feria Los Dominicos,
  • Centro: central market, Estacion Mapocho, Plaza de Armas, bibliotheca nacional, Cerro Santa Lucia,
  • La Chascona, 3rd house of Pablo Neruda, great chilean poet (no photos allowed inside),
  • Franklin flea market(also possible to unlock phone … did for my argentinan one for 2000 CLP ~ 3€),
  • trekking Saltos de Apoquindo (with a beautiful weather but entrance is a bit difficult to find),
  • Mapache new year near Av Florida (metro Macul),
  • La Vega vegetables market.
