Vientiane, Laos

Arrivée

Reprise de bus, normalement pas de glissement de terrain cette fois. J’embarque vers 8h à la station de bus, trop tôt sans doute, le bus est décalé à 9h et partira vers 9h20. Il y a encore pas mal de traces de petits glissements de terrain, mais la route reste dégagé (enfin au moins une voie sur deux). Après la pause déjeuner, une pause ennui mécanique vient se rajouter aux multiples arrêts marché fruits/légumes, bois, toilettes dont nous a gratifié le chauffeur. Après une heure de réparation, nous repartons. Et après 11h de voyage, nous arrivons de nuit à Vientiane.

• les bords du Mekong,
     
• That Dam, old stupa,
  
• Presidential Palace (no entrance),
• Wat Mixai, Wat ong teu mahawihan, wat hai sok, wat inpeng,
     
• Wat Si Saket (no photo inside),
  
• Xieng Khuan (Buddha park),
     
• Pha That Luang.

mais aussi quelques démarches administratives (visa pour le Vietnam et la Chine, environ 50$ chacun, fait en un jour pour une validité d’un mois extensible sur place).

Enfin, j’ai craqué … je me suis fait des viennoiseries et un repas français, un vrai avec du pain, du vin et du fromage 🙂 C’est bon !

Arrival

New bus, new adventure, … smaller one this time, the better 😉

I went to the bus station at 8am but 8am bus was moved to 9am. On the road, there are still a lot of small landslide traces but road is ok. After the lunch break, we had a mechanical problem which made us stop an extra hour. Not really exceptional and after many other stops for vegetables market, wood, fish or what else, there is really no point to mind it. After 11 hours of bus (including all breaks), I arrived in Vientiane.

I also took time to get my vietnamese and chinese visa (both about 50$ in one day for one month duration, locally extendable)

Last, I gave up and went to a french restaurant … red wine, bread, cheese … That was good !
